Located in the midst of lush rainforest teeming with life, our lodge offers everything you need for a week of writing and rejuvenation, yet it is not isolated at all: the tourist town of La Fortuna with all the activities it has to offer is just a 20 minute taxi ride away.
Costa Rica is the perfect location for a Creative Writing retreat. Easily accessible from airports all over North America, the country is safe, with a well established tourist industry. Finca Luna Nueva is the most serene and beautiful writing location imaginable; a trip such as this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Our writing workshops take place in one of the gorgeous seating areas at Finca Luna Nueva, overlooking the rainforest. They feature writing exercises appropriate to people writing in all genres of poetry and prose and at all experience levels, from beginner to more advanced.
